Talk about bang for your buck, this has lashings of it. Sumptuous and juicy cherry fruit with a lovely lifted fragrance that screams of youth and vitality. It's equally as bright on the palate albeit with soft, spicy red fruit and a welcome touch of paprika and smokiness alongside easy-going tannins. What a scrumptious pleasure to price ratio! The nose has a mix of fruits sweet black plum with fresher red cherry behind. There is a hedgerow mix on the palate black fruits and red fruits all feeling ripe. This family run Bodega has been growing grapes in the Campo de Cariñena since 1945, but only bottling their own wines since 2004 when the three siblings Victor, Maria and Ana took the reins. With beautiful, very old vineyard holdings the fruit they grow is incredible on their gnarly old bush vines. Great quality wine being made here offering stunning value. The Cariñena DO was created in 1932, making it one of the oldest protected growing regions of Europe, at the same time as being the largest vineyard area in the northern region of Aragón.
