TERRA D'ALTER BRANCO RESERVA
2011 Terras d'Alter
| Grapes | Verdelho, Viognier, Arinto |
| Colour | White |
| Origin | Portugal, Alentejo |
| ABV | 13.5% |
Fascinatingly complex dry white with supple body and length from Arinto, Viognier and Verdelho. After three days of skin contact the wine is given a prolonged and cold natural fermentation, 20% of which is done in barrels. The wine is then kept on its lees for six months prior to bottling. White peach and apricot notes with a mouthfilling texture, this has a richness to it but finishes with a refreshing note of pink grapefuit. L&S (Nov 2012)

Terras d'Alter
Terras d'Alter is in the Alto Alentejo region in the south of Portugal, where the history of wine growing dates back to Roman times. This extensive history, and a focus which remains largely on native Portuguese varietals, is combined with the New World expertise of dynamic & enterprising winemaker Peter Bright, an Australian making wine in Portugal since 1982.
