Vinícola Riojana de Alcanadre founded in 1957, is a union of 100 winegrowers who have come together with the sole purpose of making the highest quality wines from their shared vineyards. This Tinto is luscious without being overblown - lovely deep cherry and plum with such a juicy gloss - framed by soft tannin and some warm spice - muy bueno and what a price! L&S (Sept 2013)

Once the moment of optimum ripeness has been established, the grapes are harvested and de-stemmed after which they undergo a cold pre-maceration. Subsequently the alcoholic fermentation takes place at temperatures no higher than 28ºC with soft pump-overs that encourage development of the elegant aromas characteristic of our area.Winemaker's notes (Jul 2013)

Vinícola Riojana de Alcanadre is a winery founded in 1957, based in Alcanadre, a beautiful village located in La Rioja, about 35 kms East of Logroño. It is a union of 100 winegrowers who have come together with the sole purpose of offering the market the highest quality of wines. Together they own 510 hectares of vineyards, with vines averaging more than 35 years of age.
