Flinty, chalky – not quite so overt as the Beauroy though, which I think will work in its favour for many. Has a delicious green apple fruit at its core. Really shows off what Chablis can do in terms of vivid fruit and core power. 2015-2025

(aged in 50% wood). A subtle but not invisible application of wood sets off an exceptionally fresh and cool nose of ripe citrus, oyster shell and iodine aromas. There is fine mid-palate density to the mineral-inflected, detailed and attractively rich medium-bodied flavors that also display plenty of citrus character on the saline, intense, crisp and impressively persistent finish. This is one to consider. 2017+

This estate has come a long way since the Pommiers inherited 2 hectares of vines in 1990. They bottled their first wine in 1994 and now produce fabulous wines from their 16 hectares of vineyards. Denis and Isabelle Pommier have built up quite a following amongst sommeliers 'in the know' in recent years, and certainly the Petit Chablis is a brilliant wine to serve by the glass. It is a model of brisk freshness - made entirely in stainless steel - while the Premier Crus benefit from a small amount of barrel-fermentation and élevage.

This wine isn't currently part of a mixed case, but you can always browse our full selection of mixed cases here.
