You know, I have been critical of this Margaux estate for a few years. I am pleased to say that the 2012 is better than I expected. For a start, I cannot detect the greenness that often afflicts this wine at an early stage. The palate is nicely balanced, fleshy in the mouth with cedar and graphite tinged black fruit and a keen acidic thread. It does not quite have the complexity on the finish, but this bodes well for the future. Rating: 86-88 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2013)
