Cooler area, longer ripening which gives wines with greater concentration and potential for aging. Darker denser black fruit nose, palate is fuller grippier, fleshy with great concentration of blackberry, damson, rich oak, very impressive. L&S (Mar 2015)

60 to 70 year old vines from a cru in the San Luigi zone. Ripe black cherry, wild strawberry and birch bark aromas. Medium-full, good ripeness, excellent persistence, elegant tannins and fine typicity. Drinking range: 2017 - 2022 Rating: 92 Decanter Magazine (Dec 2016)

Deep cherry red. Pure, dark-red aromas. Deep and thickly textured, deep-pile velvet but structured still. Along with along that fruit, there’s still a darker-fruited finesse and impressive length.
