CHARDONNAY

2013 Domaine Pierre Belle

Grapes Chardonnay
Colour White
Origin France, Languedoc-Roussillon
ABV 13.5%

Like the Pierre Belle Viognier, this is a delightfully pared-down style, with no extraneous oak, just a purity of texture and easy, appealing dry fruit. Surprisingly Maconnais in style, for a wine from this far south. L&S (Feb 2014)

Domaine Pierre Belle

The Vineyard is situated in the Languedoc region of Southern France just north of Béziers. The Laguna family have now been producing wine on 60 hectares of clay/limestone soil for three generations. In 2012 the family renovated the winery, upgrading the equipment with pneumatic presses and temperature controlled tanks. Visit their Website
