Benchmark Pouilly-Fumé, benchmark Sauvignon Blanc from an estate advised by the late, much lamented Bordelais winemaker Denis Dubourdieu. Captivating intensity and purity of green gooseberry and citrus fruit, with a spicy lift and flinty minerality. Drink any time over the next four or five years. Rating: 91 The Wine Gang - www.thewinegang.com (Dec 2016)

Henri d'Assay
Founded in 1396, Chateau de Tracy has been in the hands of Comte Henri d'Assay's family for 610 years, which is something of an achievement in itself. Located in the village of Tracy sur Loire the estate covers thirty two hectares under production, on flint and kimmeridgian limestone south west facing slopes overlooking the Loire. With an average age of twenty four years the vines produce significantly lower yields than is the norm in the appellation, making for wines of great intensity, complexity and finesse.
