APEROL

Grapes: Origin: Italy, Apéritifs, Bitters & Liqueurs
Lea & Sandeman review
Aperol is an Italian aperitif originally produced by the Barbieri company, based in Padua. Aperol has stuck to it's secret recipe since first created in 1919, and has acheived huge popularity since the end of the second World War. It is most famous as the vital ingredient in the sublime Venetian cocktail 'The Spritz': in a longish glass Mix together 2 parts 'Aperol', 3 parts 'Prosecco Il Follo', a splash of soda with lots of ice and a slice of orange. There is very little that is quite so satisfying or reviving at the start of a long summer's evening.
