LEGRAS Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru Chouilly
| Grapes: Chardonnay | Origin: France, Non Vintage |
Lea & Sandeman review
From the Grand Cru vineyards of Chouilly, this entirely Chardonnay champagne has pale colour, smooth weight and fresh flavour, with remarkable clean length and a zesty finish. A really exciting quality Champagne which deserves a wider audience.Other reviews and comments
Very fine with quite a developed nose. Relatively mellow for a Blanc de Blancs, but very easy to drink in quantity. Has a certain nuttiness. Long. VGV 12%

Bold, savoury, mineral nose. A broad savoury style with good autolytic notes and impressive length, quite high acidity. Up to 15 years.

René and Lucien Legras founded their Champagne house in the Thirties, and the family business still sources its grapes from the important Côtes des Blancs Grand Cru village of Chouilly. It is the perfect bubbly... with its ripe, elegant lemon scent, creamy mousse and zesty finish.

An amazing price for such a classy Champagne. Made entirely from Chardonnay and showing the soft, appealing style of Chouilly on the Cotes des Blancs.
