Manzanilla 'pasada' is an aged Manzanilla Fino, deeper in colour with more evolved 'sherried' flavour, yet with fresh acidity and flavour. L&S (Mar 2008)

Founded at the end of the 18th century, Hidalgo is one of the Jerez's elite Sherry bodegas. This wine is from a single vineyard and bottled after about 12 years of age. Quite full bodied and fantastically complex, it's full of smoky, roasted almonds and hazelnuts, plus a lovely hit of acidity. (25 under £20.) Rating: 92 Decanter Magazine (Mar 2015)

Founded in 1792 by José Pantaleón Hidalgo, and based in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the south of Spain. Bodegas Hidalgo is the last remaining family run business to produce and export its own unblended, single-solera Sherries.
