It never loses altitude on the palate, there's mineral freshness, effortless flow, and a very, very long finish. This is an outstanding Calon Ségur and one of our wines of the vintage. This is just a brilliant Marquis with all the qualities you look for in a second wine: pure, juicy dark fruit, a cool earthy undertow, beautifully judged tannins and a nice bite on the finish. I doubt you'll be able to resist drinking this young on its lovely fruit. Just a seriously smart claret that tugs at the heart-strings and one to order in magnum for dinner parties in five year's time. Drinking range: 2024 - 2035L&S(Apr 2019)
