Brunello 2006 according to Antoni Galloni (from erobertparker.com)

by Charles Lea

Although full notes are yet to be published, Antonio Galloni, the (relatively) new man writing on Italy for Robert Parker’s ‘Wine Advocate’ has been extremely upbeat in his assessment of Roberto Fuligni’s wines, and especially the 2006 Brunello featured in our recent (and still current) 2006 Brunello Offer:

“Fuligni – Great tasting. 2010s are awesome, full of potential. Other wines from barrel and tank superb. The 2006 Brunello is one of the wines of the vintage. This is the first year the level of French oak tonneaux has dropped from 50% to 25% in favor of casks and it shows. The 2006 Brunello is an exceptional wine in every way.”
