The Sunday Times, Wine review: the best pinot noir to buy now, Will Lyons, 12/01/2020:

2017 Petri Pinot Noir
2017 PINOT NOIR Weingut Petri
£12.50 | £10.95
Review:’This is a cracking pinot noir for the money. Medium-bodied and slightly spicy, it is brimming with red fruit and cherry flavour and has a sweet, wintry woodsmoke character, finishing with a burst of refreshing acidity.

independent.co.uk, 15 best merlots that are juicy, plummy and easy to drink, John Clarke, 10/01/2020:

2018 Pinede Merlot
2018 MERLOT Chemin de la Pinède
£9.50 | £8.75
Review:’This is a Pay D’Oc merlot from vines flourishing on clay and limestone soils in the south of France near the Roman city of Nîmes. Smooth, characterful and immensely pleasing on the tongue, it’s a robust and fruit forward wine with medium tannins that doesn’t disappoint and at under a tenner it’s a bargain buy. Pair it with chicken, Italian dishes or even a pizza.

The Buyer, Best Wines of 2019: from The Buyer’s drinks editor, Peter Dean, 03/01/2020:

2013 Brunello Giodo carlos ferini
2013 BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO Podere Giodo di Carlo Ferrin
SOLD OUT
Review:’2010 was also a stunner with Brunello di Montalcinos of course and Carlo Ferrini’s Giodo, Brunello Di Montalcino 2010 was stunning, and a classic case of how the right site will always pay back in spades. On the Pinot end of the Sangiovese spectrum this had pure elegance, and a superb balance – a confluence of high acidity, ultra-fine tannins, focused fruit and a long, dried orange peel finish. The 2010 had notes of kirsch, balsamic and fresh tobacco leaf to add to freshly crushed berries. Stunning. OK so this was not a new release but shows where the 2017 will go.’
