We were delighted to sponsor the 22nd City Fine Wine Challenge at a new venue this year. One Great George Street, also the home to the Institute of Civil Engineers, turned out to be an ideal venue for the event.
A fantastic amount of money raised for a truly worthy cause. Lea and Sandeman have now been involved with the NSPCC and City Fine Wine Challenge for over a decade and this year the event raised an astonishing £200,000! This is a significant increase on last year and something about which everyone involved with the event should be very proud.
We're looking forward to once again hosting the annual NSPCC's City Fine Wine Challenge this evening at the Royal Institute for British Architects on Portland Place. Alongside the interesting selection of wines we have chosen for the blind tasting, we are pleased to present the City Fine Wine Trophy dedicated to Patrick Sandeman who we sadly lost at the end of last year.
Last night Lea & Sandeman hosted the NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge for the sixth year running. Twenty four tables of ten, from leading city companies including KPMG, Grenpact, Diligenta and IBM, packed the room at RIBA following a Champagne Benedick reception, to take part in the interactive quiz while tasting eight wines, mostly blind.
