We were having a glass of it at our auction on Saturday and I was just reminded how good it is: light, elegant and extraordinarily good value.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s run by a guy called Julien Barbier and he\u2019s in [the village of] Chouilly. It\u2019s a small, family-run operation and I think they\u2019ve been making Champagne since about the 1870s. I\u2019ve known their wines for a long time because I served them at my 30th and 40th\u00a0birthday parties.
