Today see the release of the top wine of Barsac, and the wine that is consistently second only to Yquem, Climens<\/strong><\/a>. At a price well below the current price of comparable vintages (all at \u00a3600-700), this looks a relative bargain for Sauternes lovers at \u00a3429 (as always at L&S\u00a0this price applies to halves too, and cases of 6 bottles and 12 halves pro-rata). Not many critics seem to have noted it yet, since it requires a visit to the property and a multiple barrel tasting to do so, \u00a0but with Barsac seeming to take the palm this year it looks a good bet.<\/p>\n
