{"id":24794,"date":"2016-05-17T17:31:31","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T16:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/?p=24794"},"modified":"2016-05-18T12:52:20","modified_gmt":"2016-05-18T11:52:20","slug":"bordeaux-2015-marquis-de-terme-monbrison-lynch-moussas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/2016\/05\/bordeaux-2015-marquis-de-terme-monbrison-lynch-moussas\/","title":{"rendered":"Bordeaux 2015 &#8211; Marquis de Terme, Monbrison, Lynch Moussas, Pedesclaux &#038; Latour Martillac"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24857\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-2207a.kxcdn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/chateau-marquis-de-terme-letterbox.jpg\" alt=\"chateau-marquis-de-terme-letterbox\" width=\"799\" height=\"266\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2>&#8216;the best Marquis de Terme ever&#8230;&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>After enjoying a long weekend, the Bordelais came rather lackadaisically back to work with a few more releases of #Bdx15.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of minor Pauillacs could offer good value to the drinker; <strong>Ch\u00e2teau Lynch Moussas <\/strong>gets 92-94 from Neal Martin<em> &#8216; It is a very fine follow-up to the 2014 last year, with a freshness and class that I did not find conveyed ten years ago.<\/em><strong>&#8216; Ch\u00e2teau Pedesclaux<\/strong> (90-92 Neal Martin) is one of the first wines released that are available in multi-format cases; you get 4 75cl bottles, 2 magnums and one double-magnum all in the the same wooden case &#8211; find out more <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.me\/p2YNFp-6rX\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The other of today&#8217;s releases available in this multiformat case is <strong>Ch\u00e2teau Latour Martillac<\/strong> (92-94, Neal Martin <em>&#8216;a superb Pessac-L\u00e9ognan from the estate &#8211; one of the best in recent years&#8217;<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>There were also a couple of Margaux, including<strong> Ch\u00e2teau Marquis de Terme.<\/strong> The 2015 is <em>&#8216;best ever&#8217;<\/em> according to James Suckling (94-95), and Antonio Galloni too says<em> &#8216;the 2015 is a winner from Marquis de Terme&#8217; <\/em>(90-93). Neal Martin was also very taken with it<em> &#8216;This is a very fine Margaux that should age well over the next 15-20 years&#8217;<\/em>. The estate has celebrated by raising its price by 25%, making this the most expensive Marquis de terme ever, but perhaps they can be excused given the notes and the reputation of Margaux in the 2015 vintage &#8211; you will have to decide.<\/p>\n<p>Also out of Margaux today is<strong> Ch\u00e2teau Monbrison<\/strong> (another Margaux &#8211; 94, Tim Atkin MW).
