Just as we were thinking that the big names would all wait until after Vinexpo Hong Kong to release, along comes Alfred Tesseron with Ch\u00e2teau Pontet Canet<\/strong><\/a> at \u00a3795, one of the real big beasts, and a wine with universally high scores across the board – 97 – 98\/100 James Suckling<\/span>, 94 – 96\/100 Neal Mar\"amphora\"tin<\/span>, 17 Jancis Robinson, 94 Tim Atkin etc. etc.<\/p>\n

This is exciting wine, elegant and pure, a lithe ‘realness’ to it. You can really\u00a0sense the care that has gone into making it, a very distinctive\u00a02015 –\u00a0and looking at the trading price of recent good vintages (the 2010 is nearly double this at more than \u00a31500, \u00a3900 for the 2005)\u00a0this seems\u00a0fairly priced.<\/p>\n
