As\u00a0I say every year, stick it away in magnums for dinner parties or weddings or whatever in ten+ years time.<\/p>\n<p>The other side of the river sees the release of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2011-chateau-beausejour-becot-1er-grand-cru-classe-saint-emilion-16792-00.html?category=115\">Beaus\u00e9jour B\u00e9cot<\/a> <\/strong>at \u00a3385. This is down\u00a0by a substantial amount from its 2010 release at \u00a3565. I still cannot\u00a0quite see that it is a compelling primeur buy &#8211; but I did like the wine quite a lot.<\/p>\n<p>In Sauternes the other Doisy, Denis Dubourdieu&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2011-chateau-doisy-daene-2eme-cru-classe-barsac-16892-00.html?category=115\">Ch\u00e2teau Doisy Da\u00ebne<\/a><\/strong>, is also out. I liked this a lot, it&#8217;s true to its fresh lemony Barsac style,\u00a0but if you are buying just one Sauternes this year, the choice would have to be Doisy Vedrines for me. Also available now is the <em>rarissimo<\/em> super-cuv\u00e9e from the same estate,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2011-l-extravagant-de-chateau-doisy-daene-2eme-cru-classe-barsac-16815-00.html?category=115\">l&#8217;Extravagant de Doisy Da\u00ebne<\/a><\/strong>, available right down to\u00a0one half-bottle at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Click the wine names to see other critics&#8217; notes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Out this morning is our perennial value buy Les Ormes de Pez, produced by the same team as Lynch Bages and\u00a0consistently punching above its Cru Bourgeois status &#8211; buy this and not Chasse Spleen, please.
