The Bordeaux primeurs season is warming up gently, and yesterday\u00a0saw the release of a perennial Primeur favourite, the Sichel family’s Ch\u00e2teau Angludet<\/strong>. With no premium for either halves or magnums, this is a great opportunity to put away some delicious drinking Margaux for around eight to twenty years from now. \u00a3250 per case in Bond, for 12 bottles<\/strong>, 24 half-bottles or six magnums<\/strong> – for other sizes please enquire.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Cos d’Estournel<\/strong><\/a>, which surprised with an early release the day before\u00a0at the same price (in \u20ac) as last year, has announced that it is closing it’s offer to the Bordeaux n\u00e9gociants tomorrow morning, so you may need to act to secure stock. Jancis Robinson gave Cos 18\/20, and Pagodes 17.5\/20, so these must deserve consideration.<\/p>\n

Many of the wines out so far will feature in a later round-up of where to find the best value in this vintage, but no harm in looking now.<\/p>\n
