Plush damson fruit comes through with just the right level of extraction. Beautifully rich, ripe fruit is joined by touches of oak at exactly the right moment. An exceptional showing from Branaire that rises above its 2015\u2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Neal Martin also scores it 92-94, and describes it as \u2018<em>unashamedly classic<\/em>\u2019, whilst Jancis Robinson says \u2018<em>this could only be Bordeaux<\/em>\u2019, and gives it 17 points. This Saint Julien\u00a0is a perennial favourite and will not disappoint in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-LES-TROIS-CROIX-Fronsac-26914-00.html?category=123\">Ch\u00e2teau Les Trois Croix<\/a>\u00a0Fronsac has been released at a price bang in the middle of our estimate, at\u00a0<strong>\u00a3150<\/strong>\u00a0per case of 12 IB. Antonio Galloni says<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>The 2016 Les Troix Croix is gorgeous. Sweet floral notes give the intense red and purplish-hued fruits lovely aromatic lift and presence. Powerful and very ripe, but not at all heavy, the 2016 stands out for its impeccable balance and class\u2019.\u00a0<\/em>For a wine at this price\u00a0we agree that this is good value and a smart buy.<\/p>\n<p>Also out this morning at\u00a0<strong>\u00a3285<\/strong>\u00a0per case of 12 IB is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-PIBRAN-Cru-Bourgeois-Pauillac-27036-00.html?category=119\">Ch\u00e2teau Pibran<\/a>\u00a0from Pauillac. The critics liked it, with 90-93 points from The Wine Spectator\u2019s James Molesworth and 90-92 from Neal Martin &#8211; so it should not be ignored.
