We thought this was one of the best wines we have tasted from the estate, but our estimate of the price was clearly a little too conservative. Wishful thinking?.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-PAVIE-1er-Grand-Cru-Classe-Saint-Emilion-26865-00.html?category=261\">CH\u00c2TEAU PAVIE<\/a>\u00a0has also been released at <strong>\u00a31794 per 6 IB<\/strong>. Such gamesmanship &#8211; the same price to us as Angelus (released at exactly the same time, but requesting a min. resell \u00a31 a bottle higher. Bordeaux primeurs is such a laugh &#8211; ha ha <em>ha<\/em>!). Neal Martin scored this 98-100, Antonio Galloni 97-100, James Molesworth 97-100 and James Suckling 98-100. It scored lower than the Ang\u00e9lus with\u00a0Jancis Robinson (17) and Tim Atkin (93), and we enjoyed the\u00a0Ang\u00e9lus more too. Again, this wine has bounded outside of our price estimate. The further weakening of Sterling over the last few\u00a0weeks certainly hasn&#8217;t helped.<\/p>\n<p>Also from Saint Emilion this morning is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-QUINTUS-Grand-Cru-Saint-Emilion-26909-00.html?category=261\">CH\u00c2TEAU QUINTUS<\/a>\u00a0at <strong>\u00a3560\u00a0per 6 IB\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-LE-DRAGON-DE-QUINTUS-Grand-Cru-Saint-Emilion-26990-00.html?category=261\">LE DRAGON DE QUINTUS<\/a>\u00a0at<strong>\u00a0\u00a3280 per 12 IB<\/strong>. Since it was taken over by the team from Domaine Clarence Dillon (who make Haut Brion)\u00a0in 2011, the winemaking at Quintus has been going from strength to strength and the wines here are a much more elegant style than either the\u00a0Ang\u00e9lus or Pavie.
