This is another potential 100-pointer according to Neal Martin. He said, &#8216;<em>the 2015 Figeac was stunning and the 2016 no less&#8230; in the end, only one (banded) score became inevitable<\/em>.&#8217;\u00a0Just as noteworthy is Jancis&#8217;s rating of 19\/20.\u00a0She called it &#8216;<em>Classic. Racy and juicy and beautifully balanced&#8230;Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Faye and the Manoncourt family should be very proud<\/em>.&#8217; We loved this too. It has immensely attractive supple cool concentration\u00a0and a silky fresh feel. Certainly not cheap and one for the long term, but likely to\u00a0be very special indeed. The high Cabernet content here\u00a0made this the perfect vintage for Figeac\u00a0and the wine seems destined\u00a0to be a classic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-LA-CONSEILLANTE-Pomerol-26885-00.html?category=124\">LA CONSEILLANTE<\/a> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-2207a.kxcdn.com\/photos\/Favicon-Circular-Lands.png\" alt=\"L&amp;S\" \/>\u00a0is also out at\u00a0<strong>\u00a3930 per 6 bottles IB<\/strong>. Neal Martin rated this 96-98\/100 and called it &#8216;<em>a classic La Conseillante and the best since the majestic 2010. Similar to that vintage, it will require several years in bottle, but it will be well worth the wait<\/em>.&#8217; Galloni gave it 95-98\/100 and called it &#8216;<em>one of the undisputed stars of the vintage<\/em>.&#8217; We found it a\u00a0gorgeously balanced and hedonistic mouthful . Conseillante is re-positioning itself in the market following the hiring of a new winemaking team and a slight changes to the style, and this price, which is high relative to earlier vintages, needs\u00a0to be seen in that context.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2016-CHATEAU-VALANDRAUD-Grand-Cru-Saint-Emilion-26886-00.html?category=261\">VALANDRAUD<\/a> is also out at\u00a0<strong>\u00a3775 per 6 bottles IB<\/strong>.
