Katie joined Lea &amp; Sandeman\u00a0at the very start.\u00a0In 1988 L&amp;S\u00a0first traded\u00a0from my house at 1\u00a0Henning Street in Battersea, with a self-storage unit\u00a0by Vauxhall Bridge. Katie very quickly became indispensable, keeping\u00a0tight\u00a0control of\u00a0cash-flow, accounts, and us.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors to the company in the early days grew accustomed the Patrick and I saying, with only a very small smile,\u00a0that it was she who ran the company and we merely worked for her.\u00a0Recently\u00a0Katie\u00a0has\u00a0ceded some of her role in chasing late-payers (anyone breathing out with relief here had better watch out for Lindsay Field who has taken this on), but remains closely\u00a0involved in the day to day management of the\u00a0company and accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Together we look forward to taking <strong>Lea &amp; Sandeman<\/strong> to new heights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/CAL-Signature3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"CAL Signature\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/CAL-Signature3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"60\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Charles Lea<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the tragic death of\u00a0Patrick Sandeman, his wife Katie, who has always been an integral part of the Lea &amp; Sandeman, has been appointed a director of the Company.
