This is the fifth year that Lea &amp; Sandeman have been involved in what has rapidly become one of the most popular and important fund raising activities in the NSPCC calendar. A champagne reception was followed by an interactive quiz, Patrick Sandeman acting as &#8216;quiz master&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/default\/images\/2010 NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge\/RIBA%20and%20Patrick%20Sandeman%20Quizmaster.png\" alt=\"RIBA and Patrick Sandeman Quizmaster\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rest of the L&amp;S\u00a0team poured over 1500 glasses of wine. All of the wines\u00a0consumed and sold during the course of\u00a0the evening were donated by Lea &amp; Sandeman in order to help generate a massive profit for the NSPCC.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/default\/images\/2010 NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge\/The%20L%20and%20S%20team%20mucking%20about%20before%20the%20off.png\" alt=\"The L&amp;S team mucking about before the 'off'\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/default\/images\/2010 NSPCC City Fine Wine Challenge\/NSPCC%20Team.png\" alt=\"Some of the NSPCC team on the night\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The event was well supported by the trade, donating prizes for both the business card draw and auction (Charlie Ross acting auctioneer) including jeroboams and large formats of Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, Pol Roger, Gosset and Niepoort, as well as meals at The River Cafe, Le Cafe Anglais, The Bleeding Heart and Mandarin Oriental.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/default\/images\/2010%20NSPCC%20City%20Fine%20Wine%20Challenge\/Prizes,%20Charlie%20Ross,%20Rania%20de%20Silva.png\" alt=\"Prizes, Charlie Ross Auctioneeer, and inspirational speaker Rania de Silva\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other popular auction items included a Vintage Port and chocolate tasting (Lea &amp; Sandeman with Demarquette) and a stay in a Tuscan renaissance villa.
