Nathalie Perrodo is bringing her father’s dream to reality with this ‘first’ vintage from the newly reunited Lab\u00e9gorce vineyards, after they had spent a couple of centuries split into three. The part that was\u00a0named Lab\u00e9gorce Z\u00e9d\u00e9 in 1840 is reintegrated for the first time since then this year, and this new wine is offered at a very realistic, even bargain price for a Cru Class\u00e9 level Margaux. Hubert Perrodo bought Lab\u00e9gorce in 1989, and the buildings of l’Abb\u00e9 Gorsse de Gorsse in 2002 (the vineyard of this one\u00a0escaped him, bought by Ch\u00e2teau Margaux). But his dream of re-uniting the historic Lab\u00e9gorce estate after he bought Lab\u00e9gorce Z\u00e9d\u00e9 in 2005\u00a0was cut short but his death in a ski-ing accident at Courchevel in 2006. After a couple of years of reflection, his twenty-five year-old daughter Nathalie\u00a0has decided to take up the challenge of continuing his work, directing this really quite large domaine which also includes the fifteen hectares of\u00a0 the Cru Class\u00e9 Ch\u00e2teau Marquis d’Alesme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
