{"id":7,"date":"2011-05-25T10:40:52","date_gmt":"2011-05-25T10:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=7"},"modified":"2013-02-12T12:59:24","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T12:59:24","slug":"2010-bordeaux-primeurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/2011\/05\/2010-bordeaux-primeurs\/","title":{"rendered":"2010 Bordeaux Primeurs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Basile Tesseron was rightly in ebullient mood as he made us taste his ros\u00e9 after we had tasted the 2010 Lafon Rochet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-2207a.kxcdn.com\/blog\/default\/images\/Bordeaux%202010\/Lafon%20Rochet%20-%20Basile%20Tesseron.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Reading the notes on Lafon Rochet this year makes it clear that this is the best Lafon Rochet ever, and it was not only\u00a0we who thought so.\u00a0It is offered at the same price as last year.<\/p>\n<p>Two remarkable wines from Didier Cuvelier, owner of L\u00e9oville Poyferr\u00e9, have now been released. Didier seemed pretty pleased with his wines this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Cuvelier family own not only Leoville Poyferr\u00e9, but also <strong>Ch\u00e2teau le Crock<\/strong> in Saint Est\u00e8phe, a vineyard between Montrose and Cos, well-placed and making better and better wines in recent vintages, it offers good value, in a bright and formidably juicy way. Possibly more in the style of a wine made by Didier than what one would expect from its site. The other one is <strong>Moulin Riche<\/strong>,\u00a0the second wine of L\u00e9oville Poyferr\u00e9 itself, a round, supple and less intense version of Saint Julien elegance than its big brother.<\/p>\n<p>Finally we have the release of <strong>Goul\u00e9e<\/strong>, the top-performing M\u00e9doc owned by Cos d&#8217;Estournel, in what is also its best performance to date<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is turning out to be a busy&nbsp;morning, after a slow start with a raft of inconsequential right-bank wines,&nbsp;we have the release of the first of the&nbsp;top-performing M&eacute;doc Crus Class&eacute;s in the shape of <strong>Lafon Rochet<\/strong>, which has by general concensus, made it&#8217;s best wine ever in 2010.
