{"id":7512,"date":"2013-05-22T10:32:02","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T10:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/?p=7512"},"modified":"2013-05-24T21:33:46","modified_gmt":"2013-05-24T21:33:46","slug":"2012-bordeaux-brane-cantenac-leoville-poyferre-figeac-clos-du-marquis-nenin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/05\/2012-bordeaux-brane-cantenac-leoville-poyferre-figeac-clos-du-marquis-nenin\/","title":{"rendered":"2012 Bordeaux &#8211; Brane Cantenac, L\u00e9oville Poyferre, Figeac, Clos du Marquis, N\u00e9nin"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Brane Cantenac, L\u00e9oville Poyferre, Figeac, Beaus\u00e9jour Duffau, Clos du Marquis, N\u00e9nin<\/h3>\n<p>Today we have one of my favourite wines in Margaux, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-BRANE-CANTENAC-2eme-Cru-Classe-Margaux-18541-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Brane Cantenac<\/strong><\/a>, where Henri Lurton has made another quintessentially elegant wine, and the release price is very realistic.<\/p>\n<p>The Cuveliers have released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-LEOVILLE-POYFERRE-2eme-Cru-Classe-Saint-Julien-18641-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>L\u00e9oville Poyferr\u00e9<\/strong> <\/a>at a price just under that of L\u00e9oville Barton, having been well above in some recent vintages.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-BEAUSEJOUR-DUFFAU-LAGAROSSE-1er-Grand-Cru-Classe-Saint-Emilion-18560-00.html?category=123\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Beaus\u00e9jour Duffau<\/strong><\/a> is a wine which always sells out en primeur, but there is an opportunity to get in on the act at a sensible price for this much sought-after wine if you act fast.<\/p>\n<p>The new management of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-FIGEAC-1er-Grand-Cru-Classe-Saint-Emilion-18585-00.html?category=123\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Figeac<\/strong><\/a> have promised to re-connect to their market with this release, and indeed the price is\u00a0less than a third of\u00a0the \u00a31650+ prices of the 2009 and 2010, and below the price of any comparable vintage on the market. Time to get back in the water?<\/p>\n<p>Other releases include the good value Pomerol <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-NENIN-Pomerol-18548-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>N\u00e9nin<\/strong><\/a>, and its Delon\/Las Cases stablemate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CLOS-DU-MARQUIS-Saint-Julien-18581-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Clos du Marquis<\/strong> <\/a>from Saint Julien, which was a stunning wine this year, but which may not be such an obvious primeur buy as Brane Cantenac, for example.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brane Cantenac, L\u00e9oville Poyferre, Figeac, Beaus\u00e9jour Duffau, Clos du Marquis, N\u00e9nin Today we have one of my favourite wines in Margaux, Brane Cantenac, where Henri Lurton has made another quintessentially elegant wine, and the release price is very realistic.
