At least a couple\u00a0of wines released for which it is worth fighting to get an allocation.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Julien led the charge, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-SAINT-PIERRE-4eme-Cru-Classe-Saint-Julien-18605-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Saint Pierre<\/strong><\/a>, a small property which has been performing out of its socks in recent vintages. Because it is relatively small and therefore less-well known than the likes of Talbot, it is a less obvious primeur buy, but if you just want to stash away a treat in the cellar it&#8217;s a good bet.<\/p>\n<p>The second Saint Julien is the absolutely magnificent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-LEOVILLE-LAS-CASES-2eme-Cru-Classe-Saint-Julien-18662-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>L\u00e9oville las Cases<\/strong><\/a>. This was amongst the top wines in the M\u00e9doc this year, let alone Saint Julien.<\/p>\n<p>Of course much has been written about how <strong>Pomerol<\/strong> has\u00a0over-delivered in 2012, and this morning has seen the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-LE-GAY-Pomerol-18575-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Le Gay<\/strong> <\/a>and it&#8217;s micro-vinified super-cuvee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-LA-VIOLETTE-Pomerol-18603-00.html?category=261\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>&#8216;La Violette&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong> <\/a>as well as the hotly anticipated release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-VIEUX-CHATEAU-CERTAN-Pomerol-18573-00.html?category=124\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Vieux Chateau Certan<\/strong><\/a>. We can offer very limited volumes of the latter\u00a0at \u00a31050 per dozen (or \u00a3525 per six).<\/p>\n<p>Even this has been overshadowed by the release of\u00a0Denis Durantou&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaandsandeman.co.uk\/wine\/2012-CHATEAU-L-EGLISE-CLINET-Pomerol-18594-00.html?category=124\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>l&#8217;\u00c9glise Clinet<\/strong> <\/a>&#8211; for now we are allocating to last year&#8217;s customers but if you want some it is time to let us know. Denis was\u00a0very upbeat about his wine, emphasising the importance of waiting in September for the cabernet Franc to ripen properly, and above all really stressing that his wine is the usual blend, not just a Merlot cuv\u00e9e.
