Eric Duffau's vineyards are spread across five villages, not far from the great vineyards of St Emilion but, sadly for Eric, on the wrong side of the River Dourdogne! François Henri Duffau, who's family had lived in the village for generations, bought his first 3ha of vineyard in Moulon in 1850. Today, after 160 years of marriages and acquisitions, Eric has 45ha at his disposal given over, mostly, to Merlot. The wines are always great value, very approachable and show that you can still get good claret for under a tenner. Just...
