‘There’s a vivacious, fresh-fruited style to this supple, rich port. Rated highly by some, I couldn’t quite find the extractive clout of the very finest wines here (19/25)’ Andrew Jefford Andrew Jefford (Mar 2005)

Deep, saturated ruby. Subtle, complex, lively aromas of blackberry, flowers, licorice, spices and mint. Rich, supple and concentrated, if not as supersweet or densely structured as some outstanding recent vintages of Graham. But this nicely balanced port boasts lovely mouthwatering vinosity and enough backbone for medium-term aging. Finishes spicy and very long, with strong black fruit flavors. An easygoing style of Graham. Rating: 90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (May 2000)

Graham

Part of the Symington port 'empire'. Founded by Scotsman Andrew James Symington who arrived in Oporto in 1882 and initially joined Graham's.

The Symington family own other big names in the port industry such as Warre & Co, Dow's, and Cockburn's to name but a few, and are the largest vineyard ownership group in the Douro.
