Lovely - pure and fine and quite oaky, spice and purity and a slightly more structured style than the village Gevrey. Very long with complex fruitcake notes in the finish. L&S (Mar 2005)

Dee p ruby-red. Slightly reduced aromas of black raspberry, blackberry and leather. Creamier and sweeter than the Evocelles, with more harmonious acidity and a distinctive spiciness. Finishes with substantial but fine-grained tannins. Rating: 88-90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2005)
Domaine Dugat-Py
Domaine Dugat-Py, along with only DRC, Roumier, Rousseau and Leroy, is rated in the top Three Star category by the 'Classement' published by the Revue du Vin de France. These are the essence of robust Burgundy, wines of huge scale and concentration. Patience is required, so lay down a few grand bottles for your dotage.
