Call US crazy if you like, but this wonderful (expensive) Californian red is a gorgeous blend of Sangiovese, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and a touch of Viognier. A rich, hedonistic wine which we could not resist buying. L&S (Jun 2011)

One of the better values in the rather inflated pricing world of Napa Valley. A blend of Sangiovese and a few other grapes, the 2007 exhibits lots of roasted herb, pepper, spice, red and black fruit notes, a soft underbelly, and luscious density as well as purity. Bacio Divino
A small family-owned winery, located in the Napa Valley, which produces two very different proprietary red wine blends. The primary wine is called ‘Bacio Divino’, and is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, incorporating smaller amounts of Sangiovese and Petit Sirah. A recent addition has been ‘Pazzo’, focusing more on Sangiovese, blended intimately with other varietals. Both wines are from estate grown Napa Valley fruit.
