Really yellow fruit nose, hot and sunny feel, broad appeal, and then the minerality comes back and gives the fresh finale. Very open, showy and attractive. L&S (Dec 2009)

The 2008 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly has an attractive bouquet with scents of white peach, apple blossom and hints of orange peel. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant fatness on the entry matched by a keen line of acidity, quite precise with fresh pear and Granny Smiths, lightly honeyed on the finish and perhaps just missing a little precision here. Otherwise, this is fine although, I feel that it peaked a couple of years ago. Tasted at Sarah Marsh's 2008 White Burgundy tasting. Drinking range: 2018 - 2023 Rating: 88 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2019)
This is juicy. It is lively. This has a lime-like freshness. Lovely minerality at the end. We tried two bottles. The wine stored in the cold cellar was maybe fresher and very juicy. While the wine in the cellar above which gets warmer in the summer is more evolved, but the finish is really good too...very long a salty at the end. Very mineral finish. Both were much fresher than the wine we tried in London for the 2008 Time to Mature tasting. That’s bottle variation for you!Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing (Nov 2017)
Scented, expressive aromas of peach, quinine, ginger and nutmeg. Sweet, pliant and complex, with noteworthy fat to the flavors of white peach, crushed rock and spices. Here the acids are quite suave, and thoroughly integrated with the wine's fruit. Boasts lovely purity for 2008. Strong finishing minerality carries the finish and gives the wine grip. A very strong Saint-Aubin bottling. Rating: 92 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Sept 2010)
Domaine Hubert Lamy
Olivier Lamy has built on the solid foundations his father Hubert prepared with twenty years and more of work in the vineyards. Today the Domaine has 18.5 hectares of vines - 80% are Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The vines are in several appellations - Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay, as well as the excellent Bourgogne Blanc. The reputation of the domaine is now made, but the Saint Aubins, both red and white, remain some of the bargains of Côte d'Or, and challenge the supposed superiority of the grander village names on a regular basis, both in terms of young and mature wines.
Olivier's wine-making style and preference is to emphasise the fresh and the mineral side of his wines, and there is very little new wood in this cellar, with many wines with no new wood at all, and that is with the wines in 600 litre demi-muids rather that the classic Burgundy (225 litre) fût. Certainly Oliver's whites do have an arrow-like purity and intensity, and seem to age completely straight and true.
The reds are worth more than a casual mention too. Olivier has been getting some consultation help from Sylvain Pataille, and the wines have energy and bounce along with the supple tannins and ripeness.
