CHÂTEAU LA BRIDANE

2017 Saint Julien

EN PRIMEUR

The 2017 La Bridane has a light, slightly minty bouquet that requires some coaxing from the glass. It just feels a little subdued at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a lactic entry, smooth in texture. It never really goes anywhere on the finish. Drinking range: 2021 - 2026 Rating: 85 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Feb 2020)

The 2017 La Bridane, located close to Lagrange, has a light, minor green bouquet that needs more energy. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy, slightly dry tannin and it needs more fruit to come through on the finish. Drinking range: 2019 - 2021 Rating: 82-84 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (May 2018)

A dense and layered red with plenty of fruit and depth. Ripe and chewy yet polished and bright. Rating: 91-92 James Suckling, www.jamessuckling.com (Apr 2018)
