The latest release from Massaya is a really successful blend of 35% Grenache Noir, 35% Cinsault and 30% Tempranillo. From vineyards at over 1000m in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley there is a delightfully lifted feel to the spiced red fruit. No oak here which helps preserve that pure crisp line. Bright and with a perky, breezy texture this is a remarkable value wine from this very serious estate in the heart of prime wine country. No surprises that this is a winner when you remember the brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn work here in partnership with Daniel Brunier of renowned Chateauneuf-du-Pape estate Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe.
