Celler Mas La Mola
This seven hectare property has been in the hands of the Ferrando family since 1860, and is planted with ancient vines of Garnatxa and Carinyena which give such great results on the famous 'licorella' soils of Priorat. Viticulture and winemaking have recently been taken over by Jordi Masdeu Catala, a young Spaniard in the area specializing in high end wines, and Alessandro Marchesan, award winning sommelier and group wine buyer for the Roka and Zuma restaurant chain.

Priorat Spain
The young wine from Celler Mas La Mola in Priorat is both a selection of wines from the younger parcels of vines and some lots which were otherwise destined for the top wine, but used to balance this more forward and fresher drinking blend. Deep in colour, this is packed with black berry fruits, softened with hints of oak, and finishes with a juicy and crunchy acidity. It is great value.
