Pascal Verhaeghe
Chateau du Cèdre, widely regarded as one of Cahors' leading estate, is the domaine of brothers Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe. Pascal, a mathematician at heart who came to winemaking later in life, is the driving force here. Although the son of a winemaker - his father founded the domaine in 1956 - he took little interest in the daily running of the vineyards and making wines until his experiences in Burgundy, making wines with Jean-Marie Guffens, swayed his opinion.

IGP Comte Tolosan South West France
A fabulous lighter rendition of Malbec from the south west of France which gives the same from Argentina a run for its money.
South West France
Made by the maverick team at Chateau du Cedre - this is made from grapes they buy in rather than grow themselves - 90% Malbec (also known as Cot or Auxerrois) and 10% Merlot. Deep and dark with a big smooth density and good black berry fruit character.
South West France
What used to be called 'Prestige', this is the Chateau's own production. 90% Malbec and 10% Tannat aged in a combination of first, second and third year oak. Sensational wine this, full bodied, richly tannic, but in a very attractive and drinkable fashion, and immensely satisfying. Very real in every way.
