Schiopetto
Mario Schiopetto is recognised as the true father of Friulan oenology, transforming the wines of the region from the once traditionally heavy and alcoholic to the better known fresh and aromatic wines produced today. His was a philosophy of simplicity, technology and sensitivity, all of which is continued by the new generation, Maria Angela, Carlo and Giorgio who today manage the estate. These are Italy's finest white wines.

Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy
Blend of Chardonnay (65%) and Tocai Friulano (35%), a third of which is fermented and aged in a variety of different sized 'tonneaux' and large barrels. Only a slight hint of oak on the nose, creamy fresh fruit, notes of lychees, white peaches and soft white fruits with excellent length.
Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy
Top quality Pinot Grigio, with elegant white fruit and a refined mineral finish. So much more expressive than one is led to believe this grape can achieve.
Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy
Creamy apple fruit, floral and mineral, this is showing beautifully.
Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy
Powerful, intense with spicy, ripe fruit and enough acidity to give a long finish. Definitely a food wine, and one which will continue to evolve well over another year or two in bottle. Try this with Asian food - it is great!
