MANZANILLA La Gitana 'En Rama' Hidalgo
- Grapes: Palomino
- Origin: Spain, Sherry
- ABV: 15.5%
Lea & Sandeman reviewWe recently tasted this with the charming Javier Hidalgo. He had personally decanted the bottle of en Rama we tasted - straight from the barrel, and this is the whole point of en Rama - the freshest purest way to enjoy this brilliant sherry - straight from the cask, without fining or filtration. Medium bodied, tangy dry and nutty, this is a very satisfying Manzanilla that is perfect for drinking on a summer's evening. This is 'La Gitana' on steroids. Delicious. and a slightly more lifted style than the Tio Pepe En Rama this year. L&S (May 2015)

Bottled direct from selected casks, without fining or filtration, this is as close as you get to tasting sherry direct from the barrel. Medium bodied, tangy dry and nutty, this is a very satisfying Manzanilla that is perfect for drinking with small bites of manchego cheeses, anchovies and chorizo. This is 'La Gitana' on steroids.
