    Lea & Sandeman review
A gorgeous wine, made entirely from Chardonnay. Elegant, fresh, and beautifully balanced this is simply joyous.

A very appealing style that captures the elegance of chardonnay in a way that is still immensely satisfying. The aromas are all based around lemon, grapefruit, fresh floral notes and stone fruits. The palate delivers a ripe impression, flavorsome and full, with peach custard and lemon brulée. Acidity is nicely placed below. 92 (Jul 2015)

Good toasty autolysis-induced nose. Extremely brisk and appetising - seems much drier to me than the launch offering in this new, clear flask bottle. Very clean and fresh. 17.5 (Sep 2014)

    2006 Bronze

Delicate and floral, with citrus blossom, apple and ginger notes. Nicely balanced, picking up some textural detail on the finish. Ideal as an aperitif. 90/100

Sitting quietly behind the big names Ruinart is one of those Champagne houses that always seems to over-perform. The Blanc de Blancs is seriously impressive, served in a clear bottle it has a refined, fresh elegant style with a backbone of steely minerality.

Very clean nose with apple, lemon blossom and a faint hint of pastry. Palate follow with lemon, apples and white flower before finishing with refreshing, lip-smacking acidity. (Athila Roos, The Arts Club)

Founded in 1729, making Ruinart the oldest Champagne house, and still to this day one of the very best Grandes Marques available. We have found that Ruinart has a very strong and loyal following, and the introduction of the non vintage Blanc de Blancs to the range an inspired move. It is a truly sublime wine. Owned by the luxury giant LVMH (along with Moet, Veuve and Krug) it is unfortunate that prices have risen over the past few years to the levels that they now stand. However, it cannot be denied that quality has remained very high, and all their wines come in very attractive gift boxes - without being the sort that you feel you are paying too much for, or being wasteful. In short, the wines speak for themselves.
