This 100% Sangiovese is from probably the only great vintage made at this estate (which has since changed ownership). Now fully mature. L&S (Mar 2005)

An expressive nose of violet, fresh spices and a little bit of wood. The palate expands with a refined sweetness, offering excellent balance in mid palate, and the very long finish reveals touches of cherries and pepper. Gambero Rosso (Mar 2005)
Livernano
A small estate high in the hills of Radda, which was owned by a very enthusiastic and affable Swiss, Marco Montanari, at the time we bought these wines. Livernano is another estate in the more than capable hands of Stefano Chioccioli. Marco Montanari was determined that these wines should reflect the best fruit of the 'terroir' without relying simply upon new oak flavours or heavy extract. Sadly the estate has since changed ownership.
