Classification Cru Classé

54% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc. Very striking deep purple colour. Very rich and ripe and harmonious, but not too pushed - though it is a big wine. A very taut style which keeps its freshness with enough power. L&S (Mar 2005)

Dark ruby/purple-colored with a tight nose of smoke, dried herbs, asphalt, and red as well as black currants, medium body, and a firm finish. 2006-2013 Rating: 89 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, www.RobertParker.com (Mar 2005)

Bright red-ruby. Roasted plum, cherry and tobacco on the nose, along with a suggestion of mocha. Rather gentle and soft for this wine, with lovely mid-palate sweetness. Very merlot in style. Finishes with fairly substantial tongue-coating tannins, but this pliant wine should also offer relatively early drinkability. Pomerol Rating: 89 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (May 2004)
