Lea & Sandeman review
When it came to harvesting the Chevrets, Nicolas was expecting to fill two cuves, but only got enough to fill one - as a result the proportion of whole bunches ended up being rather higher than he really intended. He is very pleased with the result - 'very close to 2005', richness and chewiness, real depth to the dark fruit flavours, still juicy and precise. Long and very successful.Other reviews and comments
Energy and some vegetal excitement. The fruit is starting to dominate the tannins in this wine. This is very nice! Delicate but precise and a pleasure. 2011-16

Again, this wine had been racked and sulphured. The final cuvée consisted of 50% whole bunches. Nicholas would have preferred 30%, but the yields were even lower than expected. However, the wine is a delight. Liquorice and darker berries fruits lace the nose. The mouthfeel is rounded and there is plenty of ripe fruit on the attack. The tannins are enrobed by the fruit and the freshness of the acidity increases the perception of finesse poised with ripeness. Up to fine. From 2011.
