2009 CHÂTEAU LAMOTHE PONTAC Médoc
2009 CHÂTEAU LAMOTHE PONTAC Médoc
| Grapes: Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon | Origin: France, Bordeaux |
Lea & Sandeman review
50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet, from the Médoc gravels. Twenty year-old vines. Aged a year in wood, with 30% new barrels. Supple and rounded, with good brightness of fruit and definition, a true Médoc and a bargain at this price level.Other reviews and comments
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. Correct and ripe and just very very slightly green on the start but a very good effort. Not bad value. Sincere. Long. QGV 2012-2016

"A touch of oak aging gives this wine a seriously characterful nose, rounding out a cherry and currant fruit which remains nicely fresh and crunchy on the finish. Great value."
