2010 GRÜNER VELTLINER Von Stein Reserve Salomon Undhof

2010 GRÜNER VELTLINER Von Stein Reserve Salomon Undhof

Grapes: Grüner Veltliner  Origin: Austria, Kremstal
Lea & Sandeman review
A dazzling example of Gruner Veltliner in its finest and most drinkable form. Wonderfully expressive with such clarity and mineral acidity it is the perfect foil to smoked salmon, as well as being one of the most palate lifting wines in our range.

Other reviews and comments
The Undhof 2010 Gruner Veltliner Von Stein Reserve represents another sappy, generous effort that adeptly and deliciously balances richness and body with brightness and energy. Ripe honeydew melon and snap pea are accented by nutmeg, blond tobacco, Szechuan pepper, and pungent herbs, all of which linger quite lusciously. There are at least for now fewer of what one could be tempted to call “mineral” notes than are found in the corresponding Lindberg, but this ought to be worth following as well as capable of further complexity for at least the next 6-8 years.   90/100
