Rich nose. Delicacy too, but full of depth of rich flavour, layers of fresh almond and hazelnut and bright minerals. Lots to chew on, and clearly more to come as it builds to a crescendo on the finish. L&S (Nov 2011)

The richness and structure of the vintage come through in spades in Drouhin's 2010 Meursault Perrières. Layers of finely knit fruit caress the palate as the Perrières opens up in the glass. This is another open, accessible wine that should drink nicely pretty much upon release. In relative terms, I am surprised how well this is drinking today for a young Perrières. Rating: 91 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Nov 2013)

Pale bright yellow. Very stony aromas of peach, apricot and grilled nuts. At once thoroughly ripe and quite dry, with its primary fruit flavors currently dominated by a strong dusty stone element. This very backward but scented Perrieres saturates the palate with spices and minerals. Rating: 93(+?) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Sept 2012)

Philippe consults here in the vineyard and I believe they may do the harvest. They certainly fix the date of harvest. lt belongs to a widow, but they cannot buy it. A little marked oak but dense, intensity. Tension and minerality. Very powerful and mineral. A long and deep finish. This has notable vigour and intent. A good Perrières. Fine++. Joseph Drouhin

Despite the size of their vineyard holding, not all Drouhin's wines come from their own domaine, but most of the other wines do come from long-term contracts, such as exists with the Marquis de Laguiche wines. In all but name these wines are 'Domaine' wines, and the vineyards are cared for and the wines vinified with exactly the same care.
