In a big tasting in the L&S offices of some significantly more expensive wines which failed to pass the test, this stood out, much as the 2009 had done, for its unforced elegance. OK it's a simple country wine, but it is done with such panache, and both of us just went 'well, we can imaging drinking this no problem'. Supple and mid-weight, juicy and with a good core of dry black fruit, it is perfect all year round satisfying mid-week wine. L&S (Dec 2011)

Cellier de Marjorine

Christophe Lagarde took control of the family property in 1989, and having previously sold all of the estate's grapes to the local co-operative, made the decision in 2007 to make their own wines at the estate. Of the total 28 hectares planted he has selected only the best 12, most of which are classified as AOC Corbieres, for the estate wines.
