In a big tasting in the L&S offices of some significantly more expensive wines which failed to pass the test, this stood out, much as the 2009 had done, for its unforced elegance. OK it's a simple country wine, but it is done with such panache, and both of us just went 'well, we can imaging drinking this no problem'. Supple and mid-weight, juicy and with a good core of dry black fruit, it is perfect all year round satisfying mid-week wine.| Purchasing options | |||||||

"'Manjo Fango', or 'mange boue', the wind that 'eats mud' and dries out the vineyards. Very immediate, very delicious, an easy wine that slips down and remains pure to the end. Made from Marselan (which is a new variety made by crossing Cabernet Sauvignon with Grenache), together with Grenache and Mourvedre."
