Lea & Sandeman review
Patrizia Felluga's unoaked, single-vineyard blend of Friulano, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Pale yellow, with a fruit-rich nose, the palate is broad and warm with fresh bright fruit and lively minerality. We have always sold this is as a wine for drinking pretty much immediately, but a recent tasting of back vintages showed that in good vintages this wine develops beautifully, taking on quite Burgundian characteristics. Awarded 'Tre Bicchieri' in the Gambero Rosso in this vintage.| Purchasing options | |||||||

"I tasted this beauty the other day with the dashing Monsieur Sandeman from the eponymous and excellent wine merchants Lea & Sandeman and it immediately leapt into this column on account of its incredible, Summery burst of flavour. Gosh, it literally dragged me out of my rainy-Spring-season gloom into an unquenchable and, to date perpetual, upbeat mood. Grechetto is a delicious, lip-smacking variety with lime zest, fresh herb and greengage notes..." (more info)

"From the home vineyard which enjoys all round sunshine the expression here is deeper and earthier (than the Brazan), with notes of baked apples, spices and cream. Quite delicious."
